As part of the Bank of Ireland’s Enterprise Week, the Kells Experience Tours have been invited to take a stand in the Bank of Ireland, College Green, Dublin, on Friday 13th November so that will be exciting for us!!
Steaming ahead towards the end of the year, we are squeezing in a few more events!
Firstly, following the popularity of the Kells: An Industrial Heritage Walk during the National Heritage Week in August, we are putting on something similar in the vein of a Kells Local History Treasure Trove on Sunday, 6th December at 3:00 p.m.
This is a relaxed Sunday afternoon walk around the town with local amateur historian Joe Rourke and tour guide Lucy O’Reilly, dredging up and sharing titbits of information about street names, who lived where, where the first electricity came to Kells Town and gems like that.
We finish off with Coffee & Cake by a local fire (location to be decided).
Contribution is €5.00 per person, which also covers the cost of the refreshments, and you can book online at https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/kells-local-history-treasure-trove-tickets-19515761167 or pop into the shop in Market Street.
Later on – on the Saturday 12th December, we will have an Afternoon Salon event – ” Coffee Cake & Découpage “ – to coincide with the Kells Enterprise Town showcase on the 11th & 12 December.
Jackie from “Handmade with Love by Jackie” will be tipping down from Navan to show us how to découpage and fold book – a very crafty morning indeed. Coffee and cake at the interlude, and definitely some individual gift ideas will be generated.
Contribution is €12.00 per person, which also covers the cost of the refreshments, and the numbers are limited to a maximum of 12 people, so do book early, either online at https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/coffee-cake-decoupage-an-afternoon-with-jackie-tickets-19529160244 or pop into the shop in Market Street.
We will have a kiddie’s morning event sometime after December 12th; watch this space!
